I would like to thank Franny, once again for providing a first class service in helping me communicate at teleconferences with my European colleagues. My colleagues remarked that they thought my hearing had been restored. Using Franny as a support working enables me to participate at high level meetings and conferences.

As a Liverpool City Councillor it's very important for me to be able to follow clearly what is being said at Council meetings. Having Franny assisting me as a palantypist has given me a lot more confidence to participate in meetings and be able to understand what is being said. Franny is always reliable, helpful and a pleasure to work alongside.

Thanks once again Franny. Your work for Durham Deafened Support (DDS) over the past 15 years has enabled hundreds of deafened and hard of hearing people to regain self esteem and independence . Seeing Palantype for the first time , being able to see what is being said and to be involved in the conversation was like a minor miracle to them.

Francis is really excellent at his job. He is an accurate palantypist well able to keep up with the most complex meetings (mine are always well spiced out with mysterious jargon, which never seems to faze him). He has recently been helping me out in lectures too, which means the students and myself are more relaxed and saves the time previously spent walking round the classroom in order to lip-read, or time spent asking students to repeat themselves. Francis is always professional, discreet but also friendly in his approach, being prepared to spend time with colleagues and students explaining how he does his job. I would not be able to continue to work without the assistance of Francis and his fellow palantypists. I would very strongly recommend Francis to any person who is finding their work difficult to complete to their best of their ability because of hearing loss.
